"When I initially filed the claim, all I really expected was a fair insurance reimbursement for the damaged caused by the "April Fools Day" storm, a storm that resulted in tens of millions of dollars in damages throughout the region. I am truly appalled at the attitude and behavior of the insurance company. I was treated as though I were a criminal, my personal integrity was questioned, the competency of my contractor was made suspect, information was withheld, and the entire process was dragged out for over nine months. Needless to say, I just received a "Notice of Cancellation" from the insurance company less than one week after the claim check finally cleared the bank.
